Two strangers, predestined to rendezvous in time, sit alone in a coffee shope. One woman has the angelic assignment to find someone with 'the golden heart'. The other woman has been on an angelic quest, for fifty years, to find 'amazing grace'. Time is running out. Neither woman is awake to the fact that they are sitting across from their best friend. Nor do they know their new angelic assignment will be to re-write secrets in an unwritten book about the planet, Mylantra, where they live, and their real home, Lamoria. They will not have a road map or written instructions. They will have the angelic realm whispering in thier ears to guide them home. The angels are tricksters though. They tell lies and speak in codes in order to mislead the dark side with whom they fight an unseen war. The two will be challenged with many twists and turns, as they learn the secrets to be included in the unwritten book. The Secrets of the Unwritten Book is to be published and to be read by the sleeping 144,000 angels who are to be taken off Mylantra in a ray of light and returned home to Lamoria at the end of the unseen war.

The London Lover

'An exuberant, breathless sprint through London in the fifties, sixties and seventies... It's bright, boisterous and extremely funny' Tatler 'Clancy's scapegrace adventures are described with so much vitality and scabrous wit you feel as charmed as one of his serial conquests ... Marvellous' Spectator 'If you're searching for something to keep you on the edge of your sun lounger this summer, look no further' Daily Mail If Fielding's Tom Jones were alive in postwar England he might be Clancy Sigal, the American author of this restlessly curious memoir. Honest and devious, faithful and lustful, a mass of plucky contradictions, Clancy first arrived in London in 1957. He was broke, homeless and,...

Urban Rage

A timely and incisive examination of contemporary urban unrest that explains why riots will continue until citizens are equally treated and politically included In the past few decades, urban riots have erupted in democracies across the world. While high profile politicians often react by condemning protestors' actions and passing crackdown measures, urban studies professor Mustafa Dikeç shows how these revolts are in fact rooted in exclusions and genuine grievances which our democracies are failing to address. In this eye-opening study, he argues that global revolts may be sparked by a particular police or government action but nonetheless are expressions of much longer and deep seated rage accumulated through hardship and injustices that have become routine. Increasingly recognized as an expert on urban unrest, Dikeç examines urban revolts in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Greece, and Turkey and, in a sweeping and engaging account, makes it clear that change is only possible if we address the failures of democratic systems and rethink the established practices of policing and political decision-making.

Breaking Points

A free ebook version of this title is available through Luminos, University of California Press's Open Access publishing program. Visit www.luminosoa.org to learn more. Unprecedented numbers of young people are in crisis today, and our health care systems are set up to fail them. Breaking Points explores the stories of a diverse group of American young adults experiencing psychiatric hospitalization for psychotic symptoms for the first time and documents how patients and their families make decisions about treatment after their release. Approximately half of young people refuse mental-health care after their initial hospitalization even though we know that better outcomes depend on early support for youth and families. In attempting to determine why this is the case, Neely Laurenzo Myers identifies what matters most to young people in crisis, passionately arguing that health care providers must attend not only to the medical and material dimensions of care but also to a patient's moral agency.
