In 1977, J.J. Stone would fall deeply in love with Christopher Smith and they would remain in love throughout his prison conviction for murder, throughout both of their marriages and throughout the last 28 years since his death. Complicated? Beautiful? Torturous? Her relationship with Chris Smith was all of the above. Throw in unbelievable, wondrous, spiritual, frustrating and magical.
