Autographed photograph typed, signed letter England Arthur Hamilton Lee, 1st Viscount Lee of Fareham, GCB, GBE, GCSI, PC (8 November 1868 - 21 July 1947) was a British soldier, diplomat, politician and patron of the arts. After military postings and an assignment to the British Embassy in Washington, he entered politics and served as Minster of Agriculture and Fisheries and First Lord of the Admiralty following World War I. He donated Chequers to the nation as a country retreat for the Prime Minister, and founded the Courtauld Institute of Art.

Two albums containing mounted photographs of paintings in the collection of Arthur Hamilton Lee, Viscount of Fareham (1868-1947). The albums probably date to the early 1920s. After Lee's death his pictures went to the Courtauld Institute, University of London, subject to the life tenure of his wife, Viscountess Lee. Each volume contains a list of artists' names or attributions affixed to the inside back cover.
