The main objective of this report is to discuss a number of key elements of Canadian university involvement in the international domain, most particulary institutional capacity to accept international students. It also investigates and analyzes institutional policies, practices, and views relating to the recruitment of international students. In addition, it explains and analyzes the institutional perspective on what governments, non-government organizations, the private sector, the institutions themselves, and others should be doing to make Canada's postsecondary education systems an attractive option for students from other countries.
