This book describes the state-of-the-art of technology and research on In-Memory Computing Hardware Accelerators for Data-Intensive Applications. The authors discuss how processing-centric computing has become insufficient to meet target requirements and how Memory-centric computing may be better suited for the needs of current applications. This reveals for readers how current and emerging memory technologies are causing a shift in the computing paradigm. The authors do deep-dive discussions on volatile and non-volatile memory technologies, covering their basic memory cell structures, operations, different computational memory designs and the challenges associated with them. Specific case studies and potential applications are provided along with their current status and commercial availability in the market.
This book documents some of the most recent advances on the physical layer of the Internet of Things (IoT), including sensors, circuits, and systems. The application area selected for illustrating these advances is that of autonomous, wearable systems for real-time medical diagnosis. The book is unique in that it adopts a holistic view of such systems and includes not only the sensor and processing subsystems, but also the power, communication, and security subsystems. Particular attention is paid to the integration of these IoT subsystems as well as the prototyping platforms needed for achieving such integration. Other unique features include the discussion of energy-harvesting subsystems to achieve full energy autonomy and the consideration of hardware security as a requirement for the integrity of the IoT physical layer. One unifying thread of the various designs considered in this book is that they have all been fabricated and tested in an advanced, low-power CMOS process, namely GLOBALFOUNDRIES 65nm CMOS LPe.

This volume analyzes the early period of the Arab-Israeli conflict (1897–1948), which encompasses the emergence of the Zionist movement and the end of the First World War. Zionism and Western colonialism continue to play a definitive role in shaping the fate of the Palestinian cause. The author argues that it is possible to understand the existence of such a relationship between Zionism and Western colonialism by looking at the unity of purpose of both approaches and the international circles in which Zionism has been supported from the very beginning. Zionism does not correspond to a natural course of national development, such as the origin, language, and cultural unity of a nation residing in lands where its ancestors lived but is an international idea that transcends territoriality. Similarly, Western colonialism, which aims to design an extra territorial framework, follows the same path as Zionism in this framework.
