Erwin Wurm
- The newest series of works by renowned artist Erwin Wurm - First book about Wurm's ceramic oeuvre Gestural sculptures formed in ceramics are the focus of Erwin Wurm: Dissolution. Wurm's anthropomorphic ceramic sculptures, their forms oscillating between the ephemeral and the physical, are characterized by performative gestures. They affirm the inherent plasticity of the material clay, recalling the potency of bozzetti, in which artists from the Renaissance onwards were able to give direct expression to their innermost creative ideas. In Dissolution (2018-2020), Wurm sets out in search of a creative process that cannot be completely controlled. "Dissolution" has connotations of disintegration, decay, decomposition, and vanishing boundaries. The sculptures -- with their protruding fingers, hands, lips, mouths, breasts, bellies, noses, and ears -- force their way out of a clay mass. Text in English and German.

In his solo exhibition that reflects the MAK Vienna collection, Thomas Bayrle combines traditional craft techniques with the computer-generated art of the Information Age.Using the metaphors of dyeing, weaving, and programming, Bayrle explores the ambivalence of art, craft, and industry and gives rise to kaleidoscopic shapes--Mass Ornaments. Friedrich Kiesler
Friedrich Kiesler is one of the great visionary architects of the 20th century. After studying at the Technical University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, he moved to New York in 1926. He developed an oeuvre which remains a source of inspiration for architects and artists to this day. The book presents a holistic view of Kiesler's work as a conceptual unit - using works, sketches, drawings, photos, and texts.

Based on the art of the Biedermeier period, which is defined by the abstraction of forms, ornament, and colour, Clegg & Guttmann's involvement with the material introduces another level, which reacts to existing, site-specific structures. The artists' specially developed project interprets the ensemble of the Geymüllerschlössel as the backdrop for several trenchant and staged tableaux - expressly lit and set to music as well as the spoken word - of furniture, objects, instruments, and materials from the Biedermeier period. In the course of a theatrical tour, the rooms of the Geymüllerschlössel will be brought to life, revitalizing this summer residence from yesteryear. Iconic Auböck
The iconic design classics that are still handcrafted today by the Auböck workshop, now in its fourth generation in Vienna, were ahead of their time from the very beginning and shaped Austrian design across generations. The book and exhibition focus on the style-defining era of the interwar and post-war period and also refer to the experimental 1980s. The works are viewed through the lens of surrealism. For the first time, works by the sculptor and textile artist Mara Uckunowa-Auböck (1895-1987), who met Carl Auböck II (1900-1957) at the Bauhaus in Weimar, are also presented. The book contains, among other things, newly produced photographs of the essential, original works shown in the exhibition, as well as a foreword by Lilli Hollein, texts by Kimberly Bradley on the workshop in the international design context, Nina Schedlmayer on the history of the workshop and Bärbel Vischer on the surrealist perspective on the comprehensive oeuvre of the Auböck workshop.
