I-COFFEES 2019
The International Conference on Fundamental Rights (I-COFFEES) is an international conference organized by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Lampung, to be an international scientific forum for researchers, academics, and practitioners. The first I-COFFEES were held in 2018 at the Novotel Hotel, Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. In 2019, the Second I-COFFEES were held on 5-6 August at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Lampung, Indonesia. “Fundamental Rights” has been chosen for the main theme of the Second I-COFFEES with a focus field on Law and Development, Women and Children, Ethnic and Religion, Law and Public Policy, Local Government, Business Law and Disruption, Pengayoman Law, Village Development and Communal Rights, and International and Human Rights. The conference was attended by national and international delegates from university academics, researchers, and practitioners. In total, there are 71 papers presented, with only 28 papers published.

Buku ini ditujukan sebagai bentuk peranan penulis dalam memperkaya khasanah dalam bidang ilmu pengetahuan khususnya hukum internasional. Mayoritas buku yang membahas terkait kajian suatu permasalahan yang ditinjau dalam segi hukum internasional saat ini masih sedikit sekali, sehingga keterbatasan tersebut membuat para mahasiswa maupun akademis-akademis lainnya menggantungkan kepada sumber-sumber buku yang ditulis oleh penulis asing. Hal ini sangat menyulitkan bagi mereka yang kurang menguasai bahasa inggris. Handbook of Public Policy Agenda Setting
Setting the agenda on agenda setting, this Handbook explores how and why private matters become public issues and occasionally government priorities. It provides a comprehensive overview and analysis of the perspectives, individuals, and institutions involved in setting the government’s agenda at subnational, national, and international levels. Drawing on contributions from leading academics across the world, this Handbook is split into five distinct parts. Part one sets public policy agenda setting in its historical context, devoting chapters to more in-depth studies of the main individual scholars and their works. Part two offers an extensive examination of the theoretical development, whilst part three provides a comprehensive look at the various institutional dimensions. Part four reviews the literature on sub-national, national and international governance levels. Finally, part five offers innovative coverage on agenda setting during crises.
Religion and Biopolitics
Given the profound moral-ethical controversies regarding the use of new biotechnologies in medical research and treatment, such as embryonic research and cloning, this book sheds new light on the role of religious organizations and actors in influencing the bio-political debates and decision-making processes. Further, it analyzes the ways in which religious traditions and actors formulate their bio-ethical positions and which rationales they use to validate their positions. The book offers a range of case studies on fourteen Western democracies, highlighting the bio-ethical and political debates over human stem cell research, therapeutic and reproductive cloning, and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. The contributing authors illustrate the ways in which national political landscapes and actors from diverse and often fragmented moral communities with widely varying moral stances, premises and commitments formulate their bio-ethical positions and seek to influence political decisions.
Rethinking Governance
Several problems plague contemporary thinking about governance. From the multiple definitions that are often vague and confusing, to the assumption that governance strategies, networks and markets represent attempts by weakening states to maintain control. Rethinking Governance questions this view and seeks to clarify how we understand governance. Arguing that it is best understood as 'the strategies used by governments to help govern', the authors counter the view that governments have been decentred. They show that far from receding, states are in fact enhancing their capacity to govern by developing closer ties with non-government sectors. Identifying five 'modes' of government (governance through hierarchy, persuasion, markets and contracts, community engagement, and network associations), Stephen Bell and Andrew Hindmoor use practical examples to explore the strengths and limitations of each. In so doing, they demonstrate how modern states are using a mixture of governance modes to address specific policy problems. This book demonstrates why the argument that states are being 'hollowed out' is overblown.

Advanced Machining Processes
Advanced machining processes has significant contributions to the manufacturing industries, especially since many new invented materials have advanced properties, which are difficult to machine using conventional machining processes. Therefore, advanced machining processes take a lead in dealing with these types of material. This book focuses on electrical machining and electrical dressing processes. Chapter 1 explains the electrochemical machining (ECM), includes process parameters that involved in the ECM processes. Chapter 2 deals with another advanced machining process, i.e. electro-discharge machining (EDM). Several process parameters that contribute to the EDM processes are also discussed. Electrical dressing is described in Chapter 3 as a special application of ECM and EDM. Finally, other types of non-conventional machining are explained in Chapter 4.
