Managing with Integrity
Managing with Integrity challenges the readers to explore different perspectives on and conceptions of corporate ethics. It is situated within the broader context of the emerging interests of the people of India to eradicate corporate unethical conduct. The massive protest against corporate unethical conduct and public opinion puts leaders, top managers and employees under strong social and political pressure. This book aims at articulating arguments for the necessity of incorporating personal integrity formation along with codes of ethical conduct to reduce unethical corporate activity more steadily and effectively. This book is an ethical guide for managers, employees, politicians, clergy, candidates for priesthood, and business students, equipping them to eradicate corporate unethical conduct from all spheres of life.
Justice and Conflicts
Central to the book are questions concerning the existence and the characteristics of justice motives, and concerning the influence that justice motives and justice judgements have on the emergence, but also the solution of social conflicts. Five main themes will be addressed: (1) “Introduction and justice motive”, (2) “organizational justice”, (3) “ecological justice”, (4) “social conflicts”, and (5) “solution of conflicts”. The authors of the editions are scholars of psychology, as well as distinguished experts from various other disciplines, including sociologists, economists, legal scholar, educationalists, and ethicists. The common ground of all contributors is their independent conduction of empirical research on justice issues. Apart from the German contributors, authors represent scholars from the US, India, Korea, New Zealand, and various European countries (Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, UK, Sweden).

Solche Zusammenhänge lassen sich nur durch ein umfassendes Konzept des "Verstehens" im Sinne von Max Weber der sozialwissenschaftlichen Analyse zuführen. Um eine wirklichkeitsnahe Erklärung volks- und betriebswirtschaftlicher Prozesse zu ermöglichen, bedarf es folglich jenseits vordergründiger Zweckrationalität eines besseren Verständnisses dieser komplexen Zusammenhänge. Ohne die Einbeziehung von biologischen, anthropologischen, psychologischen, soziologischen und philosophischen Grundlagen wird dies nicht gelingen. Das verlangt eine interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit in den Sozialwissenschaften, die ein der jeweiligen Problemsituation angemessenes Abstraktionsniveau bei der Modellierung der Akteure sowohl voraussetzt als auch ermöglicht. Die Konsequenz für die Ökonomik: Eingefordert ist eine Bewegung vom homo oeconomicus hin zum homo culturalis.
