Phylander Edgar Reusch was born 14 October 1876 in Douglas Co., Kansas. He married Myrtle A. Jones 18 November 1906. they were the parents of four children. Phylander married four times and was the father of five known children. He died 9 June 1940 in Lawrence, Kansas. Descendants lived primarily in Kansas, Missouri, Oregon, Indiana and elsewhere.

Ancestors of Harold Leland Maker, Sr. (1888-1962), son of William Herbert Maker and Betsey (Bessie) F. Crosby, who was born at Barnstable Co., Mass., and died at Deschutes Co., Oregon. He was married to Melvina Eleanor Bassett (1888-1953) 1913 in Cape Cod, Mass. She was born in Harwich, Mass., a daughter of Vincent Cash Bassett and Elmyre (Almira) Freeman Eldredge. The earliest known Maker ancestor, James Maker, Sr. (ca. 1665-1731), was born probably in the Elizabeth Islands, Mass., and died in Eastham, Mass. He married ca. 1683 in Cape Cod, Mass., Rachel ? (ca. 1666-bef. 1703); (2) 1703 Mercy Smith. James Maker, Sr. was believed to have been an indian. The earliest Bassett ancestor, William Bassett (ca. 1600-1667), was born in England, married ca. 1628 in Massachusetts, Elizabeth Purchaser (b. ca. 1609), and died at Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Several other early ancestors came from England and settled in Massachusetts.
