This is a consumable workbook for new teachers, or veteran teachers who may need instructional coaching. The first chapter includes an assessment instrument directly aligned to National Teacher Standards and requires the teacher to set goals, be attuned to accountability, self-report on a quarterly basis, and serve as a tool for discussion between a mentor and mentee. The remaining chapters may be covered in any order. The format allows teachers to read through pertinent, concise information on specific topics named important or challenging to new teachers. The book is designed to carry a participant through a three-year mentor-mentee relationship.
