Gravura em Cerâmica: Em Busca de Novas Formas para a Paisagem
O trabalho de pesquisa em Arte, retratado nesta obra, surge a partir da experiência da gravura, seu pensamento construtivo e seus processos; somando-se a esse fazer o repertório visual, material e técnico da cerâmica. A moldagem por meio da impressão de placas de argila e do despejo de barbotina permite a criação de séries de módulos múltiplos que, uma vez entintados, revelam a imagem impressa em relevo. A submissão da terra a múltiplos processos de queima aponta para uma dimensão ritualística e intrinsecamente metafísica, a qual, tradicionalmente, acompanha a transfiguração do barro em matéria cerâmica. A temática de todas as séries apresentadas é a paisagem local, tendo o ateliê como ponto de partida – e, mediante o resgate dos fragmentos vegetais e minerais, essa paisagem é poeticamente reconstruída.

Noninvasive Mechanical Ventilation
Noninvasive mechanical ventilation is an effective technique for the management of patients with acute or chronic respiratory failure. This comprehensive and up-to-date book explores all aspects of the subject. The opening sections are devoted to theory and equipment, with detailed attention to the use of full-face masks or helmets, the range of available ventilators, and patient-ventilator interactions. Clinical applications are then considered in depth in a series of chapters that address the use of noninvasive mechanical ventilation in chronic settings and in critical care, both within and outside of intensive care units. Bees provide a critical link in the maintenance of ecosystems, pollination. They play a major role in maintaining biodiversity, ensuring the survival of many plants, enhancing forest regeneration, providing sustainability and adaptation to climate change and improving the quality and quantity of agricultural production systems. In fact, close to 75 percent of the world’s crops that produce fruits and seeds for human consumption depend, at least in part, on pollinators for sustained production, yield and quality. Beekeeping, also called apiculture, refers to all activities concerned with the practical management of social bee species. These guidelines aim to provide useful information and suggestions for a sustainable management of bees around the world, which can then be applied to project development and implementation.
