Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Materials for an autobiography assembled by him in 1921 and later revised, with letters, clippings and other illustrative material, covering his career as professor and author; a few letters written to him and by him; outline and draft of A History of English Poetics; bibliographic notes; clippings; a heavily annotated copy of volume 1 of "Register of the Soceity of Mayflower Descendants in the State of California." Also includes Benjamin P. Kurtz' notes for his biography, "Charles Mills Gayley."
