Depuis la disparition de ses parents, Anastasie y vit seule avec son grand-père. Une lettre parvient à la longère : la maman d’Anastasie serait vivante, captive dans la région du littoral méditerranéen. La fillette dit alors être prête à tout pour partir retrouver ses parents. Un dilemme s’installe pour le papy car le pays reste instable et potentiellement violent. Pour elle, ce serait un voyage périlleux mais aussi initiatique, porté par l’amour pour ses parents. Ce roman est une anticipation sociale qui n’éclipse pas la lumière qui veille en nous, qui explore la force des liens entre personnes bienveillantes. Si l’expression latine la plus connue est l’Ordo Ab Chao (l’ordre à partir du chaos), nous sommes plongés ici dans une société effondrée, une dystopie où l’ordre en serait une cause : l’Ordo Ad Chao.
