Últimas vontades é o primeiro esforço coletivo na historiografia brasileira para reunir especialistas do Brasil e do exterior que se dedicaram a estudar as sociedades escravistas ibero-americanas a partir de diferentes recortes temáticos e metodologias e através do mesmo tipo de fonte primária: o testamento. Redigido em geral à beira da morte, esse documento, considerado de suma importância para entender essas sociedades, aqui é enfocado em diferentes cidades entre os séculos XVII e XVIII: algumas do México e outras do Brasil, como o Rio de Janeiro. Gas Chromatography
Many members of plant and fungi kingdoms have toxic alkaloids that are highly poisonous. Chapter One explores how gas chromatography is used to analyse some classes of these alkaloids. In Chapter Two, the effect of surfactants on gas-liquid interfaces by using reverse-flow gas chromatography (RF-GC). Chapter Three describes the application of Solid-Phase Microextraction (SPME) for identifying volatile organic compounds (VOCs), additives and degradation products in industrial plastics, rubber, and packaging materials. And in Chapter Four, the authors discuss sampling procedures for the analysis of volatile and gaseous substances used in daily life and in forensic medicine.

This book summarizes what is known about mesophotic coral ecosystems (MCEs) geographically and by major taxa.
