Collin County, Texas, Families was envisioned and initiated by Alice Ellison Pitts ten years before her death. Her intention was to honor the ancestors who came to this area even before the county was formed. Because it has taken so long to bring the book to publication, many of the stories were submitted as early as 1982. For that reason, some stories include information that may be outdated.
