The name Josh McDowell promises real-life, on-the-street Christian apologetics. McDowell, along with his son, Sean, draws on a lifetime of work to create this comprehensive handbook on what Christians believe, why they believe it, how it is relevant to life, and how they can pass it on to the next generation. The Unshakable Truth is uniquely positioned in the way it presents apologetics relationally, focusing on how right believing affects not only believers but also the people they encounter.

A Journey of Healing the Damaged Soul

I thought my life was in no particular turmoil when I first met Jaichima and Vicente in 1992. Retrospectively, I was lost, confused, and hanging onto life by a thread . . . a thread of delusions spun by suppression and repression and concealed by layers of addiction and denial. Although college educated and successful, I was feeling increasingly frustrated, depressed and unhappy for unknown reasons. Moving from the Midwest to Arizona failed to effectively alter my disposition. Closing my business and quitting my job did not help. The truth remained concealed even after two years of intervention by the Mara'akames. Slowly, via counseling, ceremonies and workshop involvement, the truth began t...

Reflections in Poetry

"Reflections in Poetry" Reflections in Poetry was first thought about when I was working down in the Gulf of Mexico. Twelve hours a day five days a week I use to write during my lunch break or back at the motel. I put together some material in a legal pad and left everything in the Motel under the mattress. When I relocated back to Sumter, SC it was very hard getting started, with so many things on my mind. I asked God to give me the peace of mind that I needed to put my thoughts on paper. I stayed up one night until four in the morning writing. I needed that to get a lot of stuff off my chest and off my mind. I really enjoyed putting Reflections in Poetry together, it reflects on those that have passed on good people whose memories I'll always treasure and will never forget. Friends that I met over the years our paths crossed and we connected platonically. They inspired me in their own unique way to write about them in poetry. Reflections in Poetry are collections of treasured thoughts from my heart to yours. Enjoy Glenndell Chatmon
