Boken handlar om anfäder till mig som var präster och bodde och levde i Södermanland under 1500- 1700-talet. Jag och min man har åkt runt i Södermanland några gånger och besökt platser där mina anfäder befann sig för flera hundra år sedan. Min man har även fotograferat platserna och hans foton finns med i boken. Kända ättlingar till dessa präster är bl.a. författarinnan Selma Lagerlöf och Jonas Alströmer född 1807.
