It's in these moments of questioning and self-analysis that you'll find the truths of your life, as well as the falsehoods. Only by sorting the truth from the lies you can find your own blue skies. "Survivalist to Thrivalist - One Woman's Journey" shows you how Deborah finds her blue skies and became a thrivalist. Her stories will help lead you to your own truths, and help you to thrive. Purple Sky Survivalist: Growing Up a Victim of Illusions
The upbringing of a child should be done with tender affection because the possibilities for the future are endless. Yes, there will be challenges along the way, but every human life must be nurtured and cherished. Now, imagine a little girl with a loving family; perhaps one that is a little idealistic but one that we all hope for. A mother who teaches her daughter that anything is possible, mentors her as she transitions through life and provides her with the ‘something old, something new, something blue’ on her wedding day. A father who loves his little girl and treasures her for her curiosity to learn, encourages her to challenge stereotypes and teaches his daughter about how young men should behave in the early dating scene and throughout a strong marriage. I wish this was Deborah’s story. It is not. This is the soul baring story of a lost little girl that was physically, mentally, and sexually victimized both inside and outside of her home as a small child. That abuse then continued on throughout her teens and into her adult life by various different people. She had acquired her addictions of choice as a pre teen based on behaviours being taught at home, which lead to an unhealthy and unsavory lifestyle as a teen and young adult, leading her down all the right paths to self destruction. Despite all of the obstacles that she faced on her journey through life, she has found that through the healing power of love from certain special people throughout different stages of her life, she has been able to overcome the self hate and loathing that comes from multiple traumas, long enough to get her mind set on the right track, and live her life today, no longer a victim, but victorious. I know this story well, because as you will soon find out, HerStory, is My story.

Michael Meyer (ca. 1672-1733) was born in Palatine Germany. He and his wife Anna had five children, one of whom, Johannes Hans Meyer (ca. 1699-1766), emigrated to America, settling in Pennsylvania. Some descendants of other children of Michael and Anna also moved to Pennsylvania, where many descendants still live. Spelling of the surname often varies greatly.
