Dennis Waterman, born on 24th February 1948 in Clapham, London, England, UK was an actor and singer, best known for his tough-guy leading roles in TV series including The Sweeney, Minder & New Tricks, singing the theme tunes of the latter 2. Waterman's 60 year acting career began with his childhood roles in movies and on the stage, leading to roles in film, TV & West End theatre. He had a wide range of roles, including drama (Up the Junction), horror (Scars of Dracula), adventure (Colditz), comedy (Fair Exchange), comedy-drama (Minder), musical (Windy City) and sport (The World Cup: A Captain's Tale). He appeared in 29 pictures, the last coming out in 2020.
