Inclusive Education : Practices and Challenges

This book is an attempt to create awareness among practitioners and to strengthen the focus on inclusion in their strategies and future plans for education and highlight the areas that need particular attention to promote inclusive education and strengthen policy development. With this, we would move a step further and look into the current research trends in inclusive education as well as policy backdrops which provide us with the fair idea that how this idea of equity pedagogy is being propagated in the national educational policies of our country and further their translations in the Indian education realm. Papers compiled exhibit major concerns, issues, challenges and various practices f...

A Feminist Discourse: Historical Perspectives to Cyborgian Feminism

This book primarily deals with an odyssey of feminism from past to Cyborgian age, with reference to the works of Margaret Atwood. It depicts the transformation of a womanhood from stereotypical and passive woman exploited by a male-dominated society to a self-reliant woman. Donna Haraway's concept of the 'Cyborg' has served to explore the possibilities of the position of woman in contemporary society. Thus, in today's 'Cyborg' era, an attempt is made to find out about the ambition and attitude of woman.

Blockchain Technology in Corporate Governance

BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN CORPORATE GOVERANCE This book investigates the recent applications of blockchain technology in financial services, energy sector, and summarizes regulatory responses, to set the scene for future work on corporate governance. This edited book highlights the current governance framework for the blockchain and its development as a self-governing framework. It discusses blockchain technology’s effectiveness in developing solutions for supply chains, trade finance, and banking. Moreover, it shows how banking and financial institutions are the major beneficiaries of this decentralized technology. Furthermore, the book outlines the link between company governance theories, regulatory, ethical, and social controls, and blockchain adoption. It also investigates the recent applications of blockchain technology in financial services, the health sector, and the energy sector. Audience The book is specially designed for researchers, industrialists, engineers, graduate students, and policymakers, who aspire to learn, discuss, and carry out further research into the opportunities offered by blockchain and the possible ways of regulating it.

A study of quiescent prominences using SDO and STEREO data

In this dissertation, the structure, dynamics and evolution of two quiescent prominences were studied. Quiescent prominences are large structures and mainly associated with the quiet Sun region. For the analysis, the high spatial and temporal cadence data from the Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO), and the Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO) were used. The observations from two different directions were combined and the prominence in 3D were studied. In the study of polar crown prominence, the prominence flows on limb were mainly investigated and its association with on-disk brightenings were found. The merging of diffused active region flux in the already formed chain of prominen...

In the computer science industry, high levels of performance remain the focal point in software engineering. This quest has made current systems exceedingly complex, as practitioners strive to discover novel approaches to increase the capabilities of modern computer structures. A prevalent area of research in recent years is scalable transaction processing and its usage in large databases and cloud computing. Despite its popularity, there remains a need for significant research in the understanding of scalability and its performance within distributed databases. Handling Priority Inversion in Time-Constrained Distributed Databases provides emerging research exploring the theoretical and practical aspects of database transaction processing frameworks and improving their performance using modern technologies and algorithms. Featuring coverage on a broad range of topics such as consistency mechanisms, real-time systems, and replica management, this book is ideally designed for IT professionals, computing specialists, developers, researchers, data engineers, executives, academics, and students seeking research on current trends and developments in distributed computing and databases.
