Colonización y poblamiento del Piedemonte amazónico en el Caquetá
A partir de la consulta de archivo y de la toma de testimonios a los más antiguos pobladores del piedemonte amazónico en el Caquetá, el autor reconstruye parte de la experiencia histórica que se generó cuando la migración andina llegó al piedemonte norte de esta región. Dicho fenómeno produjo la aparición de caseríos y pueblos, como resultado del masivo arribo de campesinos provenientes de Huila, Tolima, el Viejo Caldas, Antioquia y el Valle del Cauca, algunos atraídos por la colonización dirigida Maguaré y otros por la necesidad de conseguir un lugar donde asentarse con su familia. En ese escenario surge El Doncello, una comunidad campesina que desde 1929 comenzaba a asentarse a la vera del camino que comunica a Florencia con San Vicente del Caguán. Desde la perspectiva de la historia social, Colonización y poblamiento del piedemonte amazónico en el Caquetá aborda el estudio de esta subregión sobre la que aún existen pocas referencias.
