Advanced Machining Processes
Advanced machining processes has significant contributions to the manufacturing industries, especially since many new invented materials have advanced properties, which are difficult to machine using conventional machining processes. Therefore, advanced machining processes take a lead in dealing with these types of material. This book focuses on electrical machining and electrical dressing processes. Chapter 1 explains the electrochemical machining (ECM), includes process parameters that involved in the ECM processes. Chapter 2 deals with another advanced machining process, i.e. electro-discharge machining (EDM). Several process parameters that contribute to the EDM processes are also discussed. Electrical dressing is described in Chapter 3 as a special application of ECM and EDM. Finally, other types of non-conventional machining are explained in Chapter 4. Ini adalah buku kedua yang diinisiasi Paradance Platform melalui program Koreografer Menulis setelah Daya Tari (2018). Koreografer kok menulis? Ya. Jika karya tari adalah cuplikan pengalaman pribadi koreografer yang dipindah (diceritakan) melalui sistem gerak/laku tubuh, maka dalam buku ini, pengalaman koreografer tersebut dicukil dan dipindahkan ke dalam tulisan. Tulisan ini bisa jadi tidak secara langsung penting bagi laku profesionalitas si koreografer, tetapi penting bagi dunia tari secara umum. Dalam buku ini, 18 koreografer muda menuliskan pengalaman dan gagasan mereka terutama mengenai apa dan bagaimana pengalaman kekaryaan mereka di masa pandemi yang tiba-tiba memenjarakan dan nyaris mematikan aktivitas panggung seni pertunjukan. Setidaknya buku ini membantu kita mengintip sejauh mana gerilya tari berjalan di masa pandemi lalu, yang itu berarti juga dapat menjadi penanda seberapa kuat daya tari dalam diri koreografer-koreografer muda Indonesia ini. The Serious Impact of Non-violent Extremism in Indonesia
The rise of religious extremism in public discourses is a cause for concern for government officials and moderate Muslims. While a substantial body of research on violent extremism is available, the issue of non-violent extremism remains neglected by scholars. Although exposure and subscription to non-violent extremism do not automatically lead to violence, it still needs to be curbed because it can fan hatred that in turn can lead to physical violence and repression of human rights. Non-violent extremism also boosts polarization in the community. Given this potential impact, the government needs to pay more attention to the dissemination of non-violent extremist public discourses, especially on social media. It could work together with influential religious organizations which possess immense religious authority and legitimacy.
