Adam Zehner, of Swiss lineage, was born in 1726 in Germany and immigrated in 1754 to Berks Co., Pennsylvania. He married Maria Mertz, and in 1767 moved to Northampton (now Schuylkill) Co. He served in the Revolutionary War, and died in 1809. Descendants and relatives lived in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, California, Idaho, North Dakota, Ohio, Kansas, Texas, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Alabama, Montana, Canada and elsewhere.

Abraham Voorhees or Voreis, was baptized 11 October 1772, possibly in Conewago, Pennsylvania or Berkeley County, Virginia. His parents were Peter Voorhees and Sophia Vanderbogert. He married Elizabeth Downey in about 1793, probably in Mercer County, Kentucky. They had fourteen children. Abraham died 8 May 1860 in Marshall County, Indiana. Includes variant spellings Voris, Vories and Voorhis.

Georg (1715-1800) and Michael Haps (1722-1787) were born in Neudorf, the Palatinate (now Germany). They immigrated to America with their families in 1751 and settled in Pennsylvania. Descendants, spelling the surname Happes, to 1800 lived in Pennsylvania and North and South Carolina. Includes ancestors in Germany to the 1600's and Switzerland to the 1400's.
