Elmer J. Ney
This collection includes correspondence, diary, notebook, carpet designs, patents, clippings, and several issues of carpet trade journals. Ney wrote the notebook while a prisoner of war in Leghorn, and his diary includes entries about his escape from Italy and time in New York and Lowell in addition to a list of important events in his life. Some of Ney's colored carpet designs for E.S. Higgins as well as designs for one of Robert Ney's patents are also included in this collection. Trade journals include Carpet Trade, Philadelphia Capet Trade, and Carpet Trade Review.
