This volume is the proceedings of a conference held at Ohio State University in May of 1999. Over sixty mathematicians from around the world participated in this conference and principal lectures were given by some of the most distinguished experts in the field. The proceedings volume contains fully refereed research articles from some of the principal speakers, including: Salah Baouendi (UCSD), David Barrett (Univ. Michigan), Bo Berndtsson (Goteborg), David Catlin (Purdue Univ.), Micheal Christ (Berkeley), John D'Angelo (Univ. Illinois), Xiaojun Huang (Rutgers), J. J. Kohn (Princeton), Y.-T. This proceedings volume presents 36 papers given by leading experts during the Third Conference on Function Spaces held at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. This collection of expository articles grew out of the workshop ``Number Theory and Physics'' held in March 2009 at The Erwin Schrodinger International Institute for Mathematical Physics, Vienna. The common theme of the articles is the influence of ideas from noncommutative geometry (NCG) on subjects ranging from number theory to Lie algebras, index theory, and mathematical physics. Matilde Marcolli's article gives a survey of relevant aspects of NCG in number theory, building on an introduction to motives for beginners by Jorge Plazas and Sujatha Ramdorai. This volume contains the proceedings of the Logic at Harvard conference in honor of W. Hugh Woodin's 60th birthday, held March 27–29, 2015, at Harvard University. It presents a collection of papers related to the work of Woodin, who has been one of the leading figures in set theory since the early 1980s. The topics cover many of the areas central to Woodin's work, including large cardinals, determinacy, descriptive set theory and the continuum problem, as well as connections between set theory and Banach spaces, recursion theory, and philosophy, each reflecting a period of Woodin's career.
