El presente libro da cuenta del proceso de construcción de una comunidad de estudiosos de la comunicación caracterizada por su diversidad teórica, metodológica e interdisciplinaria. En menos de una década, el Departamento de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Cuajimalpa, ha logrado convocar a su profesorado para desarrollar investigaciones sobre los ejes de la política, la educación, la ciencia y las instituciones. En el libro hay la suma de tres ámbitos de pensamiento y problematización, el crítico, analítico y de corte social de las ciencias de la comunicación: El proyectivo y visual del diseño, y el algoritmo de la computación. This book constitutes the proceedings of the 13th Mexican Conference on Pattern Recognition, MCPR 2021, which was planned to be held in Mexico City, Mexico, in June 2021.
