Sending him "a copy of the Sixth Monograph on the Church of S. Dunstan, Stepney, to which you are entitled as an honorary member of the Survey Committee" and asking him to send the subscription fee of one guinea for the present year; adding, in an autograph postscript, "I have been wanting to send you a copy of the 'Essex" book circular for some time : but I am still limited in my output of work. I have also added your marginal notes on matters previously contained in the book, among the supplementary notes on p. 57;" asking that he correct and return the enclosed and adding "the delay in completing these last few pages has been considerable, but is owing chiefly to my illness, which the unsettled weather lately has tended to aggravate."
