British Figurehead & Ship Carvers
Books about figureheads and decorative work on ships usually state little is known about their carvers. Here Phil Thomas puts the record straight and after extensive research, writes about over 200 merchant ship carvers and around 60 master carvers who worked in the Naval Dockyards beginning around 1600 up to the 20th century.
