a storia delle idee pedagogiche è una lente di comprensione del fatto educativo in grado di assumere una fisionomia più complessa, plurale e dialettica rispetto al passato. Il testo ripercorre i dibattiti italiani del secondo Novecento e la “crisi” della storia della pedagogia tradizionalmente intesa. Le influenze esercitate dalla storia sociale, dalla storia culturale e dalla Intellectual History inducono oggi a un approccio rinnovato: la storia delle idee pedagogiche si presenta come indagine che usa il registro narrativo e interpretativo, che sa tener conto della cultura, della società e dell’ambiente politico di una certa epoca. La volontà di indagare il valore formativo della storia della pedagogia è un’ulteriore tensione che riecheggia lungo tutto il lavoro, intrinsecamente connessa a una precisa idea di “pedagogicità” della disciplina.
