Audit is an essential activity for all psychiatrists. Involvement in audit must be evidenced by consultants for revalidation and by trainees in their Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCP). This book will therefore be relevant for psychiatrists of all grades. It aims to help ease the audit process by offering tried and tested recipes for conducting audits in clinical services. All the audits in this book have been undertaken by the authors and it therefore provides useful practical advice for carrying out the audits in day-to-day practice.
This book gives a synoptic description of the practical details of how to carry out the common procedures in imaging on which a trainee in radiology and related professionals will be expected to be familiar. It does not attempt to cover rarer techniques beyond the scope of the FRCR exam or to show the resulting images. Every technique is clearly described under a set of standard headings (e.g. methods, indications, equipment, patient preparation, technique, aftercare, complications, further reading). - The text adopts a synoptic style which makes for easy preparation for the FRCR and similar examinations - The selectivity of the techniques covered will focus a candidate's attention on what questions to expect. - The use of standard headings makes the contents highly accessible for a reader.

This is the first in-depth study of the feminist movement that swept Italy during the "long 1970s" (1968-1983), and one of the first to use a combination of oral history interviews and newly-released archive sources to analyze the origins, themes, practices and impacts of "second-wave" feminism. While detailing the local and national contexts in which the movement operated, it sees this movement as transnationally connected. Emerging in a society that was both characterized by traditional gender roles, and a microcosm of radical political projects in the wake of 1968, the feminist movement was able to transform the lives of thousands of women, shape gender identities and roles, and provoke p...

Diagnostic and pre-operative imaging has become increasingly adopted throughout the field of gynecology. In particular accurate preoperative analysis of ovarian pathology can improve the selection of the correct therapeutical approach, to reduce the length of operations, maximize surgical technique, and can ultimately improve a range of operative outcomes. New imaging modalities have advanced to the point of high resolution, three-dimensional analysis of tissue anatomy, composition and perfusion. Ultrasonography (US), Computed tomographic (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging have recently emerged as outstanding non-invasive techniques for the detection and characterization of ovarian ...
