L'efficacité du maintien de la paix en Afrique par l'ONU et l'Union africaine
Maintenir la paix et la sécurité internationales est le but primordial de la Charte des Nations Unies au sortir de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Toutefois un continent, l'Afrique, s'illustre par un nombre de conflits très important et par les efforts continuels de l'Organisation des Nations Unies à y maintenir la paix, efforts soutenus au niveau régional par l'Union africaine. La persistance des conflits armés sur le continent conduit à se questionner sur l'efficacité du maintien de la paix en Afrique par l'ONU et l'Union africaine, ainsi que sur les mécanismes mis en place par les deux organisations. Pour répondre à cette question, les deux grandes spécificités du maintien de la paix sont abordées : l'aspect institutionnel et l'aspect matériel, envisagé l'un et l'autre du point de vue de leur efficacité.
Les opérations de maintien de la paix en Afrique
Le maintien de la paix est un champ de recherche déterminant dans les études internationales. Cet ouvrage offre une lecture des opérations de paix dans les contextes terroristes à travers la MINUSMA et l'AMISOM et une réflexion originale sur la place de la lutte antiterroriste dans les opérations de paix et l'influence du terrorisme sur l'évolution, l'histoire du maintien de la paix onusien en particulier. On y trouvera une comparaison de l'approche de l'ONU et de l'UA dans les théâtres terroristes et l'influence tant de la MINUSMA que de l'AMISOM dans la construction théorique des opérations de paix d'une part et la pratique de celles-ci d'autre part.
