This collection consists primarily of letters written to George (Ted) Reed from his mother, Helen Reed, and V-Mails from his father, George Reed. The letters and V-Mails regard news from home and include questions from both his mother and father about Reed's welfare. Letters from his mother include family matters, church activities, her USO work, concerns about Reed's well-being, and the desire to have him home soon. The V-Mails from his dad include the nightly "Hit Parade" list of popular radio songs, news about the family, his legal career as an attorney, local politics, and his concerns about the war. Letters from friends to Helen include thank you notes and family news. Also included in the collection are service bulletins from their church.
