Fowler writes to Col. Digby resquesting information on Capability Brown who designed the grounds of Sherborne Castle. The Col. Digby he addresses is most probably Col. Frederick James Bosworth Wingfield Digby (b. 1885). The letter was found in a copy of: Catalogue of the pictures at Sherborne Castle (London : 1862).
