Recent years have seen a substantial increase in both academic and clinical interest around how ‘lifestyle behaviors’, such as exercise, sleep and diet, can influence mental health. The aim of this Research Topic is to produce a novel body of work contributing towards the field of ‘Lifestyle Psychiatry’; i.e. the use of lifestyle interventions in the treatment of mental disorders. In this way, the Research Topic aims to (a) present important ‘behavioral targets’ for lifestyle modification in public health and/or clinical settings, and (b) examine the efficacy and implementation of lifestyle interventions for people with mental health conditions.
