Se estudia la emergencia y estructuración de las redes transnacionales del movimiento a la luz del cambio de oportunidades políticas para la acción colectiva, con especial atención en la reconstrucción de las redes transnacionales.
Este libro se propone abordar la acción colectiva transnacional del movimiento social afrocolombiano entre el periodo 2002-2010. En términos generales, se estudió la emergencia y estructuración de las redes transnacionales del movimiento a la luz del cambio de oportunidades políticas para la acción colectiva, con especial atención en la reconstrucción de las redes transnacionales que, desde abajo y desde arriba, dan muestra de las acciones de defensa y denuncia que despliega el movimiento mediante diversas estrategias políticas y comunicativas. El análisis se centró en vislumbrar el proceso de denuncias y de defensa efectuados por líderes y activistas de las comunidades afrocolombianas, en especial, de una organización de base: el Proceso de Comunidades Negras (PCN). Dicho proceso tuvo una dinámica transversal que va desde escenarios locales hasta esferas transnacionales, lo que obliga a entender la diversidad de acciones, discursos y estrategias del movimiento en su afán de afirmarse como actor y de apuntalar la lucha contra la violación sistemática de los derechos humanos de las poblaciones afrocolombianas en diversos puntos del territorio.
