Contemporary theatre is one of the best ways for ethno-cultural minorities to express themselves, whether they be of indigenous origin or immigrants. It is often used to denounce social injustice and discrimination and, more generally, it helps to air questions debated in the wider community. A propósito de esta figura ya olvidada, su autor, Juan Carlos Usó, se ha internado en el contexto del primer tercio del siglo XX, para ofrecer un retrato de cómo se manifestaba el lesbianismo en una España que aún no había entrado en cauces de represión pero en donde la heteronormatividad sexual quedaba al margen de lo público. La condesa Gloria Laguna fue fiel representante de su clase social. Aristócrata banal y ociosa, tuvo también rasgos que la diferenciaban. Su carácter provocativo y frívolo la llevó a exhibir en público su condición sexual. Fuente de inspiración de escritores y pintores, se convirtió en uno de los iconos más sorprendentes de su época.
