This is a compilation of poems written by H. Orland Payne over the course of his life. They are presented as he had prepared them for publication. He had divided his work into two sections.
Spencer Payne was a Pulaski, New York, journalist. Collection consists of two reminiscences, one (1975), entitled "A Montana Safari," describes his travels in Montana and Yellowstone National Park in September 1975. The other (1976), entitled "The Old-Tyme Country Doctor" describes the life and work of his parents, George H. and Mabel (Willis) Payne, osteopathic doctors in Columbus, Montana. (SC 1440)
