This "Supplement to Genealogies in the Library of Congress" lists all genealogies in the Library of Congress that were catalogued between 1972 and 1976, showing acquisitions made by the Library in the five years since publication of the original two-volume Bibliography. Arranged alphabetically by family name, it adds several thousand works to the canon, clinching the Bibliography's position as the premier finding-aid in genealogy.
Karl Christian Wieland (1789-1863) married Katharina ELisabetha Kramer (1793-1835) in Germany. They had seven children. Five of their sons - Heinrich Gottlob (1822-1897), Christian Jakob (1824-1880), Ernst Wilhelm (1826-1898), Albert Joseph (1828-1898) and Friedrich August (1830-1899) - immigrated to America and settled in Beaver Bay, Minnesota.
Virgilius (1828-1918) and Martinus (1831-1915) Pally, brothers, immigrated in 1853 from Switzerland to Sedrun, Minnesota, moving later to Stillwater, Minnesota in 1856. Descendants (most spelled the surname Pauley, some as Palli) lived in Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and elsewhere in Canada. Includes ancestors in Switzerland to the early 1600s.
