The Amsterdam-based design office of EventArchitectuur has been active in the fields of exhibition and interior design and temporary architecture for more than 20 years, with their projects and interventions present in Berlin, Paris, New York and many other locations world-wide. In this substantial book, designed by the Dutch design studio Experimental Jetset, Herman Verkerk and his team dedicate their knowledge and experience to the design community. With contributions by Bernard Tschumi, Beatriz Colomina, Dirk van den Heuvel, Ellen Blumenstein and many others, topics comprise time-based narrative architecture, the architecture of events, display in public context, building-related landscape and many others. This approach makes the book a content-driven tool of communication and knowledge.
Clip, Stamp, Fold
An explosion of little architectural magazines in the 1960s and 1970s instigated a radical transformation in architectural culture, as the magazines acted as a site of innovation and debate. Clip/Stamp/Fold takes stock of seventy little magazines from this period. The book brings together a remarkable range of documents and original research which the project has produced during its continuous travels over the last four years starting with the exhibition at the Storefront in November 2006. The book features transcripts from the “Small Talks” events in which editors and designers were invited to discuss their magazines; a stocktaking of over 100 significant issues that tracks the changing density and progression of the little magazine phenomenon; transcripts of more than forty interviews with magazine editors and designers from all over the world; a selection of magazine facsimiles; and a fold out poster that offers a mosaic image of more than 1,200 covers examined during the research.

Frame: The Back Issue is a celebration of 50 issues of a design magazine. It represents an opportunity to give lovers of Frame the ultimate fan book to read, to keep, to use. This publication features 50 exceptional articles on designs and projects that helped shape the magazine. The Back Issue contains interviews with the editor and the publisher, the graphic designers of Frame and nine shops, one exhibition, three bars, two schools, four museums, four clubs, one restaurant, four offices, one port terminal, two hotels, two libraries, two articles on trade-fair stands, one church, two stage sets, eight portraits of designers, one airport, two visual essays and four hair salons.

DesignBuild is a method of instruction that students use to design and build actual projects at several architecture schools around the world, often in developing countries, but sometimes on their own doorsteps. With DesignBuild, students gain experience that goes far beyond planning and design. The focus is on temporary buildings and long-term projects, experimental approaches and interventions into infrastructures. With respect to the main aspects of research - dialogue - design - build, research contexts and processes of individual projects come under discussion. Constructive aspects and social exchange are also important. The book provides a critical overview of the most exciting DesignBuild projects worldwide.

New Interior Design
The book is designed to give a stimulating idea of the current direction of international interior design by Nigel Coates, one of the foremost practitioners in the field. The author has selected approximately 30 international designers whose work he thinks is especially interesting. The book will then present a selection of work by these designers in such a way that the relations between different designers (both the differences and similarities) are brought out as well as broader themes in current interior design. While each project selected will be featured over a series of pages, the same project may crop up at various other points through book. The purpose of this is to draw comparisons between each project by letting them cross over into one another’s territory. Hence ‘Collidoscope’, the provisional title of the publication. As such, it should work both as a sourcebook with reference to current tendencies in design and to the ideas that underpin them. It will foreground the designers yet raise challenging differences and overlaps between them.
