Evolution of the Insects
Insects are the most diverse group of organisms in the 3 billion-year history of life on Earth, and the most ecologically dominant animals on land. This book chronicles for the first time the complete evolutionary history of insects: their living diversity, relationships and 400 million years of fossils. Whereas other volumes have focused on either living species or fossils, this is the first comprehensive synthesis of all aspects of insect evolution. Proceedings of the 10th International Symposium on Trichoptera
The present proceedings book contains a total of 68 articles. They have been either on display as posters or were presented as lectures. The volume is structured into eight sections which essentially reflect the sessions of the conference. The largest numbers of articles, 19, are in the systematics section, followed by the ecology section with 17 articles. this symposium was held under the auspices of the Humboldt-University berlin in Postdam. The congress venue was the campus of the Ostdeutsche Sparkassenakadmie on the shore of the Templiner Lake in the south of Potsdam.
