Project Management in the Digital Transformation Era
This book presents the proceedings of the 32nd World Congress of the International Project Management Association (IPMA). Digitalization is changing many fields of development and accelerating the global economic world. This challenge concerns project management as the driver of change. More than 1000 participants of the 32nd IPMA World Congress are an international community of the best experts and practitioners of project management. The Program Committee of the Congress includes more than 30 experts from Europe, Asia, America, and Australia, heads of large companies, and leading scientists and practitioners representing various areas of management, economics, and digital technology. The project management community discussed the challenges and prospects of the digital age, to find solutions to the problems that it poses to project management. Selected Proceedings from the 14th International Congress on Project Engineering
The Spanish Association of Project Engineering is pleased to publish the following selection of the best papers presented at the 13th International Congress on Project Engineering. After having organized an annual Congress with an array of universities over the last 16 years —first at the national and then at the international level— by the end of 2008 the AEIPRO Directive Board decided to establish a Scientific Committee to evaluate the papers presented at the Congress. The Scientific Committee has also chosen the works to be published in the selected proceedings of the Congress. The procedures to establish the Scientific Committee and evaluate the submitted papers are explained below in detail. It is the hope of the Committee that the compiled works contribute to the improvement of project engineering research and improve the transfer of results to the job of Project Engineers.
Research on Project, Programme and Portfolio Management
This book collects recent work presented at the 31st IPMA Congress, which was held in Merida, Mexico, from September 30th to October 2nd, 2019. It covers a range of project, programme and portfolio management contexts, with the general aim of integrating sustainability into project management. The book is divided into five parts. Part I discusses general approaches to sustainability in project management, including regional approaches and factors affecting the early stages of a project. Parts II, III and IV all present sustainable project management in a different context, including education and welfare, clean energy, and smart cities. Part V concludes the book by looking at perspectives and future directions for sustainable project management to take. The book offers a valuable resource for all researchers interested in the emerging research trends in incorporating sustainability in project, programme and portfolio management.
