ICHSS 2021
The International Conference of Humanities and Social Science (ICHSS) 2021 aims to encourage and provide opportunities for researchers and academics to exchange views and opinions, answer and debate policy-relevant issues, and produce academic research outputs on important topics language. ICHSS is an Indonesian Language Education Doctoral Program Alumni Association program, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. The basic idea to encourage research in the linguistic sciences is to have maximum research impact on education, culture, social, arts and humanities, language and literature, religion, gender and children, and literacy. It also aims to improve coordination between academics & scholars, stakeholders and policymakers.

We are pleased to introduce the proceedings of the second edition of the International Conference of Humanities and Social Science 2022 (ICHSS). The conference has brought researchers, developers, and practitioners around the world to write about their work in social and humanities research aimed at strengthening diversity. The theme of ICHSS 2022 is "Freedom to Learn in Education, Social, Religious, Culture, and Language Perspective."

Buku ini menceritakan pengalaman Nurbaiti, seorang Perempuan Minangkabau, yang lahir tahun 1918 di Supayang, Kabupaten Solok, Sumatera Barat. Kisah ini berlangsung di Solok. Padang Panjang, Jakarta, Surakarta (Solo), Padang, dan Bandung, melalui jaman penjajahan Belanda, Jepang, dan masa Kemerdekaan. Diceritakan berbagai masalah yang dihadapi oleh keluarga Nurbaiti, dan bagaimana ia menyelesaikan masalah tersebut. Masalah-masalah itu berhubungan dengan hidup banyak orang lain: pendidikan, kesehatan, tempat tinggal, perkawinan, hidup bermasyarakat, dan pilihan-pilihan politik. Nurbaiti meninggal dan dimakamkan di Bandung tahun 2000.
