As part of Pegasos, Kuunsankosken Kaupunginkirjasto of Finland presents a biographical sketch about the Swedish author Karl Ivar Lo-Johansson (1901-1990). Lo-Johansson wrote travel books, short stories, and poetry. A few of the themes of his works center around the working class. Some of Lo-Johansson's works include "Et Lag Historier" (1928), "Zigenare" (1929), "Mana Ar Dod" (1932), "The Share Croppers" (1936), and "Only a Mother" (1939).

Mikael is an impulsive, imaginative, and rebellious boy whose family earns a meager existence working on an estate in Sweden in the early 20th century. As he grows up he learns the reality of the lives of estate workers, their love for the land, and their subservience to the estate owners.
Ivar Lo-Johansson (1901-1990) blir ofte beskrevet som de eldre eller sigøynernes dikter.
