This collection showcases how different forms of manhood perform in artistic spaces. The selections take an in-depth review and exploration of the emotional and artistic landscape of Caribbean men who dare to carve out a place for themselves in the visual and performance mediums. The pieces demonstrate that Caribbean men are forging more varied and wholesome ways to describe their masculinities, where they are allowed to thrive and engage in the same spaces without violence and exclusionary attitude, just as they can do in the arts. The manuscript also sets up a nucleus that will allow a progression of essential advances in the scholarly scrutiny of Black men and Black masculinities. This book will interest individuals in the arts, gender studies incorporating masculinities and femininities and black studies, and also prove to be useful for students in high schools and colleges/universities.
This volume is the product of interest in both Howell and the genesis of the Rastafari movement. The volume was conceived and compiled by Rastafari scholars that hail from a range of disciplines at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, thus assuring a cross-disciplinary feel for this important contribution to Rastafari scholarship.

This book is a collection of studies of drug policies in several Latin American countries. The chapters analyze the specific histories of drug policies in each country, as well as related phenomena and case studies throughout the region. It presents conceptual reflections on the origins of prohibition and the “War on Drugs,” including the topic of human rights and cognitive freedom. Further, the collection reflects on the pioneering role of some Latin American countries in changing paradigms of international drug policy. Each case study provides an analysis of where each state is now in terms of policy reform within the context of its history and current socio-political circumstances. Concurrently, local movements, initiatives, and backlash against the reformist debate within the hemisphere are examined. The recent changes regarding the regulation of marijuana in the United States and their possible impact on Latin America are also addressed. Africa and its Historical and Contemporary Diasporas edited by Tunde Adeleke and Arno Sonderegger is an interdisciplinary study of the changing and complex nature of the Africa-Black Diaspora relationship. The contributors highlight the problems and challenges of this relationship and provide strategies for developing a more functional and mutually beneficial engagement in a radically changing global environment. The author argues that identity politics eliminates Ethiopians' in-between spaces and identities and defines in-between spaces as political, social, religious, and geographical spaces that enable Ethiopians to co-exist with equity, solidarity, and justice. The elimination of in-between spaces and in-between identities creates either-or class, religious, ethnic, and gender categories. Therefore, the author proposes an in-between theology that invites Ethiopians to a new hybrid way of being to resist fragmented and hegemonic identities. The author claims that postcolonial discourse and praxis of in-between pastoral care disrupts and interrogates hegemonic definitions of culture, home, subjectivity, and identity. On the other hand, in-between pastoral care uses embodiment, belonging, subjectivity, and hybridity as features of care and praxis to create intercultural and intersubjective identities that can co-construct and co-create in-between spaces. In the in-between spaces, Ethiopians can relate with the Other with intercultural competencies to live their difference, similarity, hybridity, and complexity.
