While on an archaeological dig in Northern Arizona, Marcus Machado unearths the journals of a sixteenth century priest. The contents make reference to the existence of the Book of Aaron, a missing book of the Bible. It also suggests a possible location of the book along the Exodus Trail in the Middle East. Marc travels to another dig site in the Middle Eastern desert where, along with the help of an Egyptian guide, they uncover the actual Book of Aaron, the brother of Moses. The book reveals an even greater secretthe existence of an eleventh commandment. They soon discover the fabled tablet and after deciphering accompanying information about the commandment. Marcus is torn between delivering it to the world and burying it deeper than where he found it. He knows that in the wrong hands, it could have earth-shattering ramifications. Follow along as Marc deals with the dilemma thrust upon him.

As social media use explodes in popularity, teachers can now share resources and interact with a broad international audience of colleagues, scholars, students, and the general public. Teachers use sites such as Twitter to develop and hone their professional identities and manage others’ impressions of them and their work. This text draws on extensive research to provide guidance about teachers’ use of social media for professional development and identity formation. A conceptual framework drawing on Goffman’s Theory of the Presentation of Self in Everyday Life and research into how users interact online informed the case studies of preservice teachers’ experiences with social media....

The intent for this book started from a rather unusual space. The author - a radio personality - was on-air working overnights when she decided her last 'talk break' (at 5:45 a.m.) would include a story. That 'story' included an inspirational lesson that she learned on her quest to seek God more. That 'story' turned out to be an inspiration not only to her, but to some of the hundreds who heard it that morning. They texted and called her at 5:46 a.m. all echoing it was a story they needed to hear. One year later, that radio personality Janine, got her own radio show. And that within itself was a 'miracle.' Over 300 applied, but she was chosen. With her own show, it only made sense to include an element that featured the very thing that brought her the clarity in purpose she'd been seeking. Was it her own desire that manifested this or was it God moving in her life in a way she could have never imagined? What has come from it is a 60-second week day feature -- JD's Inspirational Moments -- that is quietly, while boldly, at times surprisingly, but yet purposely changing lives.

Gene Sharing and Evolution

In Gene Sharing and Evolution Piatigorsky explores the generality and implications of gene sharing throughout evolution and argues that most if not all proteins perform a variety of functions in the same and in different species, and that this is a fundamental necessity for evolution.
