Madame de la Lande sous-gouvernante des enfants de France
Rien ne destinait Jeanne-Françoise de Biaudos de Castéja, jeune fille de la noblesse de province, à passer un demi-siècle dans l'intimité de la famille royale. Elle fut remarquée à Saint-Cyr par Mme de Maintenon, qui en fit sa secrétaire, la maria à un protestant converti, et lui obtint une première place à la cour. Connue dès lors sous le nom de Madame de La Lande, elle fut nommée par Louis XIV sous gouvernante des Enfants de France en 1704, place que Louis XV reconduisit en 1722. Elle est morte au château de Versailles en 1761.
