John Bayles (ca. 1525-1588) was born in England. He married Elizabeth More (ca. 1530-1588), a daughter of John More. They had four known children, all of whom appear to have immigrated to America.

John Bayles lived in Wilby, Suffolk and in London. He married Elizabeth Moore in about 1554. They had three known children. Traces their descendants through their son Thomas, who married Joan Walsh and had seven children, to Benjamin Bayles, who emigrated to America in 1851.
