Chiefly the ancestors and some of their descendants of Robert Dean Davenport born 26 November 1931, in Macoupin, County, Illinois. He and his wife Helen lived in Sawyer and Washburn counties in Wisconsin for 36 years before moving to Pilot Knob, Missouri. Ancestors include John Davenport, ca. 1770-1835 of Casey County, Kentucky, Moses Sweeney, 1734-1813 of Lincoln County, Kentucky, Peter Elder Sr., died ca. 1674 of Rappahannock, now Essex County, Virginia, Edward Tatum Sr., fl. 1700-1744 of Brunswick County, North Carolina, John Pigg fl. 1658 of Kent County, Virginia (later King and Queen counties), John Shackelford born ca. 1600 and died 1647 in New Alresford, England and some of their descendants. Many of their descendants lived in Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, Arkansas and elsewhere.

John Burnett (1511-1686) was of supporter of the Royalist cause of King Charles I of England, and received a land grand in Essex County, Virginia in 1638. Later, when Oliver Cromwell took over the English government, John Burnett and his family immigrated from Scotland to old Rappahannock County, Virginia, where he died. His sons also took over the land in Essex County. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere. Includes family history and genealogical data in Scotland and England to 1066 A.D.
