Gives the histories of two families named White, both of which lived in Virginia and Kentucky. John White (1700-1787/88), a son of Conyers White and Mary Tilly, was born in England. He married Ann Wisdom, and they had ten children. The first record of John White in Virginia is in 1738. Stephen White (ca. 1728-1830) is assumed to be a descendant of William White, one of the first settlers to arrive in Virginia in 1607. He married Agatha Bramlett, and they had nine children. Some descendants live in Missouri and surrounding states.

Now for the first time these high-quality digital copies of original 18th century manuscripts are available in print, making them highly accessible to libraries, undergraduate students, and independent scholars.
