Nalcor Energy (Nalcor) proposed to develop two hydroelectric generation facilities, including construction of associated dams and reservoirs, on the lower Churchill River in central Labrador. The generation facilities would have a combined capacity of 3,074 megawatts (MW) with one facility located at Gull Island (2,250 MW) and one at Muskrat Falls (824 MW).
